At Freedom Road Recovery Collective, our mission is to improve the lives of those in need by providing essential services and support to our communities. We believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities of recovery such as treatment, education, and support.
Founded in 1991 as a 501(c)(3) organization, Freedom Road Recovery Collective has been serving our communities for over 30 years. Our organization was established to address the growing need for assistance for those facing substance abuse disorder, addiction, and social challenges.
Over the years, we have supported thousands on their road to recovery from substance abuse. An evidence-based community recovery support organization designed to all reach a place of sustainable recovery.
Freedom Road Recovery Center was born in June 1991 out of an undeniable urgency—an urgent need to confront the overwhelming lack of support and resources for individuals locked in the painful grip of substance use disorder. In those early days, the road ahead seemed daunting. We knew the journey would not be easy; the barriers were high, the stigma unyielding, and the systems in place often failed those who needed help most. But we pressed forward, driven by the belief that no one should have to face their battles alone, that there had to be a better way to support those fighting to reclaim their lives.
From the start, the center became a sanctuary for individuals at their most vulnerable, a place where they could find not only refuge but hope. The struggles we witnessed were intense—people fighting through layers of trauma, addiction, and isolation. For each person who walked through our doors, recovery was not just a possibility but a hard-earned victory that required courage, determination, and resilience. Every success was born of setbacks, and every step forward was often accompanied by moments of doubt. But we stood fast, committed to walking every mile of the difficult road.
Over the past decades, we have been honored to support thousands of individuals as they navigated the winding path to recovery. Each story is unique, each triumph hard-won. Through personalized guidance, evidence-based approaches, and a deeply rooted connection to the community, we have fought alongside them, believing in their potential even when they couldn’t.
We are more than a recovery center. We are a lifeline, a source of unwavering support, a community of fighters. Freedom Road Recovery Center is grounded in evidence, driven by compassion, and powered by the belief that lasting, sustainable recovery is possible for everyone, no matter how difficult the struggle. Through each setback and every victory, we have stood strong—and we will continue to do so, fighting to make sure no one walks this road alone.
At Freedom Road Recovery Center, our mission is to provide a beacon of hope and support for individuals battling substance abuse by offering a comprehensive and compassionate community outreach rehab program.
We are dedicated to empowering individuals to reclaim their lives from the grips of addiction. We advocate evidence-based treatment, education, and ongoing support.
Our commitment is to foster a nurturing environment where individuals can heal, grow, and thrive on their journey towards sobriety and lasting recovery.
Through individualized attention, advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to break the cycle of addiction, restore dignity, and pave the way for a brighter future for all those we serve.
At Freedom Road Recovery Center, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to embark on their own path to freedom and fulfillment, and we are here to walk alongside them every step of the way.
To create lasting, transformational change for individuals with substance use disorders, their families, and their communities. We envision a world where the power of recovery—grounded in hope, healing, and support—is accessible to everyone, and where no one faces addiction alone.
Freedom Road is for anyone struggling with the overwhelming challenges and devastation of substance use addiction.
We operate within the framework of the 12-step model, providing peer support and guidance to individuals seeking recovery. Our approach, rooted in decades of experience, allows us to foster meaningful connections with both local and national resources.
These partnerships enable us to assist individuals through every phase of their recovery journey.
1. We believe in long-term recovery.
Recovery is not just a short-term solution; it is a lifelong journey of transformation and growth. We focus on providing continuous support to individuals throughout their entire recovery process, emphasizing that sobriety is just one part of a larger, fulfilling life in recovery. Our long-term programs are designed to help individuals not only maintain sobriety but thrive emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. By staying committed to recovery over the long haul, we aim to prevent relapse and foster personal empowerment and growth.
2. We believe in addressing the root cause.
Substance use disorder often stems from deep-seated issues such as trauma, mental health struggles, or socio-economic challenges. At Freedom Road, we believe that sustainable recovery requires a holistic approach that addresses not just the symptoms but the underlying causes of addiction. Through therapy, counseling, and peer support, we help individuals confront and heal from past trauma, manage mental health conditions, and rebuild their lives on a strong foundation of self-awareness and resilience.
3. We believe in sponsorship and mentorship.
Building meaningful, trusting relationships is a key component of successful recovery. Our program encourages sponsorship and mentorship, where individuals who are further along in their recovery journey guide and support those just beginning their path. This sense of shared experience and mutual support fosters accountability, personal connection, and hope. Our mentors and sponsors offer invaluable insight, encouragement, and real-life strategies to navigate the ups and downs of recovery, helping participants stay committed to their goals.
4. We believe in community outreach and service.
Recovery is not just about healing individuals but also about creating a positive impact on the broader community. At Freedom Road, we emphasize the importance of giving back through service and outreach programs. Engaging in community service helps individuals in recovery rebuild their sense of purpose and self-worth, while also addressing the stigma surrounding substance use disorder. Through outreach efforts, we aim to educate the public, raise awareness, and offer support to those who may not yet have found the help they need.
